The union ministry for health and family welfare has released Rs.6.28 crore to the Jammu and Kashmir government for developing adequate health-care infrastructure during Amarnath Yatra this year, a state minister said on Monday.
In view of the rise in the number of deaths of Amarnath pilgrims, medical camps have been set up along the route. About 45,000 pilgrims were treated at the medical camps set up along the Amarnath pilgrimage trek route this year.
