I heartily agree Cgleason. The thing is that our tax dlarlos funds the basic research at universities, NIH and CDC. Pharma picks up these for a song and cranks out billions in profits from them. Same with our public airways, the FCC leases them for a pittance and the companies (radio, tv, phones) reap vast rewards. Just like the Republicans did for big business in the 1920 s that led to the 1929 crash.

Intention of the govt can be implemented honestly only if the middle level stages of health sector ofificers like the CMOs /Dist Health Officers interferences in matters of PHCs/CHCs functioning are minimised or eliminated.They are the guys who spoil all such good intentioned programmes.Health facilities should get drugs directly from suppliers.
