Dr Reddy’s laboratories announced today that it has launched a generic version of a drug – used to treat the signs and symptoms of Parkinson’s disease – in the United States following FDA approval.
Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories announced that it has launched Ropinirole Hydrochloride XR (Extended-Release) tablets (2 mg, 4 mg, 6 mg, 8mg, and 12 mg), a bioequivalent generic version of REQUIP XL tablets in the US market on June 06, 2012 following the approval by the United States Food & Drug Administration (USFDA).
The REQUIP XL® brand had U.S. sales of approximately $58 million for the most recent twelve months ending March 2012 according to IMS Health.Dr. Reddy’s Ropinirole Hydrochloride XR (Extended-Release) tablets in 2 mg, 4 mg and 6 mg are available in 30 and 90 count bottle sizes, 8 mg and 12 mg are available in 30 count bottle sizes.
Earlier Dr Reddy’s Laboratories recently launched a generic version of lansoprazole delayed-release capsule used to treat heartburns and acidity in the US market. Recently, another Indian pharmaceutical, Sun Pharma launched a generic version of a nasal spray to treat allergic rhinitis.
