During pregnancy your belly will stretch – and so will your skin. There are various reasons stretch marks are caused – pregnancy, rapid weight gain and weight loss. Hormonal changes and genetics influence the skin’s capacity to withstand stretching forces, as do diet and (possibly) exercise. Watch Dr Eden Fromberg explain why they’re caused and how to prevent them.
